Compassionate Family Medicine provides outpatient, primary care–based addiction treatment focused on safety, support, and long-term recovery. Our approach integrates medication-assisted treatment (MAT), ongoing medical care, and coordination with counseling and community resources when appropriate.
Treatment is individualized and based on a patient’s clinical needs, history, and goals. Services are provided in a respectful, non-judgmental environment as part of comprehensive primary care.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
For eligible patients with opioid use disorder, our providers are certified to prescribe FDA-approved medications, including:
Buprenorphine-based treatments (e.g., Suboxone®)
Extended-release buprenorphine injections (e.g., Sublocade™)
These medications help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms and are used as part of a structured treatment plan that emphasizes stability and recovery.
Alcohol & Tobacco Use Treatment
We also support patients seeking treatment for alcohol and tobacco use. Care may include:
Medical evaluation and monitoring
Prescription medications when appropriate
Counseling referrals and behavioral support
Treatment plans are tailored to each patient and coordinated with additional services as needed.
A Coordinated, Patient-Centered Approach
Addiction treatment at Compassionate Family Medicine is delivered within the context of ongoing primary care, allowing patients to address substance use while also managing chronic conditions, mental health concerns, and preventive care.
